Composed and recorded in Milan in 1974, its title already states the programme: libertad and tango, a deliberate break with ballroom tango in favour of tango nuevo, fed by jazz and chamber music. The theme became a worldwide standard far beyond tango circles, sung by Grace Jones as I've Seen That Face Before, taken into the concert hall by Yo-Yo Ma, and used in film, in advertising and on the ice by generations of skaters. On the accordion it finds its way back to its own family: Piazzolla was a bandoneon player, and the whole piece is conceived for the bellows. The left hand lays down a stubborn, almost mechanical ostinato over which the right hand launches the theme in dry accents, and it is the pressure of the bellows that gives the piece its tension and its bite.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Go2Piano","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":59292754280773,"sku":null,"price":6.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1030\/0034\/2853\/files\/pochette-libertango-accordeon-niveau-4_055640c4-8b91-41d7-8d2a-d5a13eaf0e5b.png?v=1789155984","url":"https:\/\/go2piano.com\/en-ph\/products\/partition-accordeon-libertango","provider":"Go2Piano","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
